NEW CERM Avalara AvaTax for Sales Tax Integration gets certified
Worrying about your Sales tax compliance is a thing of the past! The new CERM – Avalara AvaTax integration automates Sales tax calculations and the complete tax filing process. Via an EDI link from the CERM MIS Software to Avalara AvaTax, the latest Sales tax rates are being calculated based on location, items sold, legislative changes, regulations, customer exemption certificates and all other applicable criteria to your invoice.

CERM – Avalara AvaTax workflow
CERM generates sales invoices and submits the transaction data to the AvaTax API. AvaTax then returns all the Sales tax details which are updating the invoice data in Cerm.
Before generating the final sales invoice, your CERM MIS will submit the invoice data via the API to the Avalara AvaTax software. Subsequently, Avalara AvaTax not only calculates the Sales tax rate based on location regulations, but it also considers any applicable company exemptions (which are managed within the Avalara application). As part of the CERM-Avalara integration, you can synchronize your complete CERM customer database with the AvaTax software to send automated requests to update their certificates.
Next to this, customers can always see in the Avalara portal the sales tax owed in real time and have 24/7 access to their AvaTax transaction history with an easy-to-navigate dashboard and overview.
