Core cutting automation

The production of labels on rolls requires cutting of the appropriate cores, and therefore needs to take into account the correct specifics – such as size and amount – to be able to wind the finished rolls.

Unidirectional JDF exchange

When the operator enters or scans the CERM MIS job ID in the Boon Tech machine UI, the core cutter requests the JDF file from the CERM MIS and automatically executes the setup accordingly.

This automated JDF exchange contains all instructions on thickness, diameter, length, width and total amount to complete the automated core cutting.
